    Mei is very calm and composed, not one to shout things out or lose her head over an accident. She is rather bizarre, having interests in things that are uncommon for women her age and possessing a grim sense of humor. Despite this, she is very trusting of others, and is willing to accept them for who they are. However, she is mildly reclusive, and would much rather spend her time with her spiders than around other people. She is willing to talk with someone if they will be nice to her. She is an innocent women, almost to the point of being childlike in certain mannerisms.

History: Mei was born and raised in the Rose Kingdom with her mother, father, elder brother Jun, and younger brother Jian. Her parents raised the three of them to take over the Xu family business and run the spider ranch. Mei was thrilled by the thought of it, however, her brothers had other ideas in mind. While Mei grew up on the ranch and learned to handle the spiders correctly, her brothers were always running off to find adventure elsewhere. Mei didn't really care though, as she looked up to her parents and the work they did. She always held a smile on her face and she always had fun with what she did.
    When Mei was around 14, her aging parents passed, leaving her and her brothers to attend to the ranch. She begged and begged for them to stay with her, but to no avail. "You're creepy, sis." Jian would always remark about the wide smile she kept on her face. "You're creepy." He would tell her of her fondness of staying awake through the night hours and conversing with the spiders. Jun promised Mei they would stay with her until they were old enough to live on their own, but they were hoping Mei would become a proper young lady by that time. The two still saw Mei as very different from them, and weren't fond of being around her. Eventually, Mei lost her fondness of being around the brothers as well. The two boys started running most of the social part of the business themselves, not wanting to show the world the strange, shameful daughter of the Xu family.
    When Mei hit her twenties, both her brothers moved away; Jun to the Lily Kingdom to settle down peacefully and find a wife, and Jian to the Tulip Kingdom to study herbs and possibly go into business with Jun. Mei kept to herself for a while after that, not used to conversing with people considering her brothers didn't want her scaring them away. However, kind people and workers slowly began to dig her out of her shell and she learned once again to open up like she did as a young girl, that youthfulness returning to her a bit. She now runs the family business happily, somewhat willing to work with others and not afraid to be her own person.

~Save for when she's sleepy or confused/curious, she always has a big grin on her face.
~No matter in what mood, her eyes are always half-lidded.
~She has a strange taste in fashion, however she saves most of her outfits for indoors for that reason. Her clothes for outings are more fitting for the Kingdom.
